Over 30 years ago, on 16th January 1984 we began a mission to help patients who are indeed of cure from the Gynaec and Obstetric problems in the small towns and villages near by Visnagar. Our mission begins with lots of experiences and developing latest technologies. Rural areas, Tribal people are getting latest technologies in the minimum or free of cost who are sick of the real cure. Our basic aim and motto to provide latest techniques and technology in medical field (in our faculty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology) to the common man within their reach and at their doorsteps. We try to provide most of the facilities under one roof only so that patients do not have to go to different places and this is convenient to them and it saves lot of time of the patient.
Dr. Mahesh T Gandhi passed MBBS, MD in Obstetric and Gynaecology in 1983 from G S Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai. He was young, enthusiastic and energetic. He was hailed from middle class and has a dream to serve the society in small town or village and utilized his skill. Incidentally he met Dr Vasant Parikh from Vadnagar and Dr Mihir Joshi from VISNAGAR at Dr R N Cooper Hospital and liked the ideology. Vadnagar has a established Hospital whereas Visnagar has to start the Obstetric Gynaec department. He accepted the challenge to start the hospital from ABC on his own way. Initially started at Sardar Hospital by Sardar Vallabhbhai Trust run by late Shri Sakalchand Patel and his group. This Hospital started on 16th January, 1984. Because of some dispute Dr. Mahesh T Gandhi resigned from this Institute. He joined with Jyoti Hosital and started Ob-gyn Department in January 1985. Dr Mahesh T Gandhi and Dr Mihir Joshi’s ideology is the same and main motto to serve the society and provide facilities within their reach and their doorsteps. Later on because of administrative and other problems Jyoti Trust has closed Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department in 1991, and this department started in March 1992 by Jivanyog Trust at the same campus of Jyoti Hospital.
